Alva Learning Systems was founded in 1999 on the principle that e-learning could be made more instructionally sound than what the industry was producing. In the marketplace, we saw a lot of "eye candy" and unengaging, scrolling text that was touted as training, but not much well-designed training. We set out to change that situation. We made a firm commitment to produce visually engaging e-learning products with robust content that are designed using adult learning theories.
We started by evaluating the market to search for an e-learning authoring tool. Not finding one that met our standards, we created our own, which instantaneously spawned a technology solutions team for the company. Blending our content development team with the technology team, we were able to deliver powerful e-learning solutions to our clients. By 2001 we had firmly established ourselves as a leader in the e-learning industry. Our clients were pleased with our products, but we demanded more of ourselves.
Working to meet our clients' needs, we expanded into blended learning solutions and the development of instructor-led training. We created a learning management system. We also created an electronic performance support system. Our reputation as a company that solves clients' training problems spread, and Alva continued to grow.
Today, Alva is a dynamic e-learning and blended learning solutions company. We provide products and services to Fortune 500 companies, federal and state government agencies, and many other types of organizations, large and small. We continually maintain our commitment to provide instructionally sound products, and we look forward to many more years of growth and prosperity.
